FASTT is a new concept to help business owners looking for rapid growth by providing expertise to accelerate the transformation. You might like to know how we came to get here. Welcome!

I am what might be called an accidental entrepreneur, having started a business in the irrigation industry after a dispute with my boss and running it for 12 years, before selling it to enter the business advisory field.

My journey with that business was a struggle at first. However, after getting good advice it became regarded as the leader in the area. People started coming to me asking for advice about how they could run their businesses better. That led me to consulting and coaching.

Since selling that first business, I've been a manager in the computer manufacturing and retailing industry, a consultant for a Big 4 Accountancy firm and run my own accountancy / bookkeeping practice. From that business, I saw a need for owners of SMEs to get help growing their businesses and I've spent the rest of my career helping them as well as helping other business advisors get better at helping business owners.

Internationally acclaimed sales trainer Ari Galper once called me Australia’s #1 business growth strategist for professional service firms.

Over the past 25 years, I've built and sold three consultancy firms, firstly in South Australia, then New Zealand, with reach into the USA, then a successful multi-consultant practice in Melbourne from 2011 until selling in 2017. I now run two new consultancy firms from my new home in New Zealand.

Over these years, I developed a proprietary business development system which achieved major breakthroughs for every business owner who used the system, helping them to greatly increase profits and increase their personal freedom from their businesses.

These strategies have now been refined and distilled into the books, Cracking the Code and Run Your Business on Autopilot and are used in the new FASTT rapid business growth programs.

In New Zealand, some people think that keeping a business small is a good idea. They believe it's a way to have a relaxed and stress-free life compared to running a big business. However, the truth is, most small business owners face a lot of stress and problems every day. In New Zealand, there are about 600,000 businesses, but only 7% of them have more than 10 employees. Most of these businesses stay small not because the owners want them to, but because they are unsure how to make them bigger. Growing a successful business, no matter its size, is really hard work.

I am going to be bold enough to say that this article is the most important article I've ever written. That's because there is no more important key to success than the use of leverage. I often speak to business owners who are working hard to achieve success. But even though they work hard, they will never truly achieve success because when they stop working, their achievements begin to be eroded. When your success relies purely on your own efforts you will always be limited in what you can achieve, because there is only so much one person can do. In this article I will explain why working harder is detrimental to success and why you must focus on increasing your leverage to achieve real success.

Motivating Employees For Business Success

Most business owners are very focused on motivating their employees to achieve high performance levels. But is it really possible to motivate employees? In this article, I will highlight the keys to motivating employees that are well know to successful business owners, but seem to be hidden from most, such as those who complain, “You just can’t get good people these days.” My response to them is that they are looking in the wrong direction for the cause of the problem.
